SNAPSHOTS FROM DECEMBER

The Christmas cards are not mailed (I am planning a Jan letter), the gifts got wrapped, and Christmas came and went.   We all survived.   It was not Norman Rockwell, but it was GOOD.

Our Christmas was probably like most of yours...little ones everywhere, toys as far as the eye could see, wrapping paper piled up...gifts lost..gifts found..
we even had an ER visit as Micah woke up so sick and found out he had pneumonia.

After waiting 3 hours in the ER it took another hour to find a pharmacy that had all five of the scripts he needed.
But we were all together...and that is what mattered.  We had weathered some storms in 2012 but came out standing on solid ground.

Dana and Amanda prepared a delicious lunch.  I contributed little.  I am so glad they are both such great cooks.

Amanda and Micah headed home on Wednesday afternoon and left the boys here for a WEEK!

ONE ENTIRE week with the little men I have SO missed.
Parker is spending some time with his Dad but Jack is with us.

Color me H.A.P.P.Y.

We have spent four days doing whatever Jack wanted to do.  We have watched movies, played games, and I think I have had a smile on my face the entire time.  We also have his puppy Ella Sue (LSU)!
She and HAPPY have become semi good friends.  Two puppies are HIGH MAINTENANCE

Here are a few snapshots from the month of December...You will notice Parker and Austin are absent in most. At their age they are not fond of the camera...

Amanda and Micah having a fun night out in Atlanta, Ga....waiting to cheer on the TIGERS on New Years Eve.  Tonight they dined at
Kevin Rathbun Steak House !

Parker, The Baby That Changed Everything and is now 13.

Dana and boys..

We have the boys until next Thurs and then we are taking them home to Katy.  Then all of us are going to San Antonio for the weekend.   Then back home to start taking down trees.  We do not take down near as many as we put up.

Tonight I was thinking about changes I wanted to make for 2013...It's been awhile since I have had a giveaway and you know I love to give.  So in your comments list one thing you want to change in 2013....That is it and you will be in the drawing for a CARD BOX.  I will let Jack draw next Wednesday before we leave.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY BLOG FRIENDS

I want to be less fearful and anxiety ridden. Somewhere along this year, I have lost who I was. Praising God for a new year and a new start.

Oh Teresa, I can see that smile on your face from Georgia! I know that you are going to enjoy EACH and every moment with those kiddos!

What I would like to change in 2013 is to get my butt in gear and exercise! Even just walking 30 minutes a day, doesn't sound like that should be too difficult, right? Anyway, that is something I want to change:)

Hugs to you dear friend, have a blessed day!

The one thing I would like to change for the coming year is to MOVE more. Not setting big exercise or weight goals just to make myslef move around more, walk and just be more active.
So much fun having all your loved ones close by. I felt so bad for you when some of yours moved away....because I know how that is. Beautiful family.

Teresa, it all sounds perfect. I know what those boys mean to you and I am so happy you have this precious time with them. Hope Micah is feeling better.

Time management ! Getting my priorities straight...Jesus first, me last, and others in between!

I must say....reading and visiting your blog tonight did my heart good. You sounded great and so happy and I know 4 little boys that caused that!
So tickled you had a great Christmas!

my change for 2013...increase my calls to my Mom and sister...we're close enough to have local calling and I should call a lot more than i do, especially since my mom's eyesight is quickly deteriorating...she'll need more encouragement.
what great pics you posted!

I want to entertain a lot more in 2013! My motto is going to be "any excuse for a party!!!"

I turn 60 on Jan. 1 and I really want this year to be about me -- not in a selfish way either. Things that I have been wanting to do and have not done. Like getting into cardmaking and sending everyone birthday cards - something that I had gotten out of doing.

I have been wanting to see what your card boxes are like so I really hope that I win!!!

Teresa I am glad to see your Christmas included all your dear littles who you love so much.
A change I want to make this year is to write more, and get my 3rd book a publishing home.

It sounds like you had a pretty perfect Christmas(if you don't count the sickness). I am so happy for you. The thing that I want most for 2013 is to take in the little things more and worry about the big things less. The little things are so much more important.
