THANKS AND PLEASE DO NOT STOP

This has been another very hard day for Crew and his family.

I want to be so careful and get these updates exactly like they are sent to me by Marie or her Mom.

This is Marie's late afternoon update.

Update: Crew is still on the ventilator, they are still trying to control the swelling, get his labs normal. His blood pressure is rising and so far the medicine isn't helping much because his body is trying to fight sedation.

(This came this evening)
His last lab was abnormal so they are about to do an ultrasound of his kidneys to make sure they are working properly.

This little body is fighting so hard....

Crew is getting a feeding tube placed into his intestines so they can begin feeding him.

Another update tonight: doctors came in and They are about to do a kidney function ultrasound his labs were abnormal

So you can see there are many things to pray for.

Any pictures I post are with Marie's blessing.. The family appreciates every prayer prayed for their precious boy.

cREW HOS PRAY

CREW SURG

He is a fighter but these last two days that's all he has done. I can't  imagine how hard it is for the family to watch him.

Would you please pray
for Marie and Clennton tonight. Also for both sets of grandparents...

for Charlie and Cailynn, their other little ones.

Life is hard right now. Pray that they can get some rest.  Pray that they get some good news and began to see healing.

Hoping to have a happier report tomorrow…So thankful for each one of you that have sent emails, prayed and prayed again.

URGENT, URGENT, URGENT

If you happen to still be up and get this, please stop and pray.

Crew is having some  major problems.

He has had much swelling which became out of control, fluid in his lungs,(pneumonia is always a worry)

He is now on the vent and has been given some drugs for temporary paralysis  along with steriods.

He has had an allergic reaction to something. They are not even sure what he was allergic to.

The doctor has been with him the last hours.  This little guy has endured a lot today.

He will be critical for the next week as they watch for infection and many other things.

Again I am going to ask you to send an email to Marie to encourage her...She is hurting so bad.  mariemorris21@gmail.com

This was the post after the surgery before things began to unravel.

From Marie
Surgery over and doctors looked confident!!!! But still have to watch him extremely closely this week. He did have to have a blood transfusion . They said penis was able to be closed and appears to be working! Bladder inside , smaller than they like but hoping the bladder gets larger. They created a belly button but said it might need modification later. He is not getting out of surgery room for about an hour or two because ortho is casting. He will go to PICU after.

FROM MARIE

I just did the hardest thing I have ever done, I handed my baby to almost 30 people for 12 hours..... And had to be torn away from my tiny precious baby. To be honest I'm hysterical. He is already asleep and in the process getting more IV's and attempting his spinal.... They will call when they start. I will update as we are updated

Surgery has started, they were finally able to place the spinal block. They are currently breaking his pelvis... I'm bawling!

Her sister just posted that the ortho is done for now and the urologists have begun their part of the surgery. He is tolerating surgery so far.
Keep Praying

TOMORROW IS CREW’S SURGERY

so many of you have emailed  me today…Just a short update and reminder to pray.

tomorrow is Crew’s surgery.  It will be a very long and scary day for the family.

Marie just posted this

We met  with all doctors today, they have finally called NICU because he has horrid veins.
They will start anesthesia  around 6:45. They will knock him out with gas first then start another IV, then insert his spinal block which is a process lasting up to two hours. Then surgery will start lasting up to 12 hours....

Please continue praying!

If you have a chance tomorrow, shoot Marie an email
( mariemorris21@gmail.com)
as she sits and waits.
Handing over your  little one to a HUGE group of medical people is  super scary.

Crew tonight as they already have an IV in his little head.

Crew night before surgery

This breaks my heart….I am praying that in just a few days we will see this.

Also remember to pray for Kelly Stamps. She is in the hospital with a serious staph infection.

I WENT TO CHURCH SATURDAY

This could be a very controversial post…

I am going to take a chance and record my feelings…its  been a case of not sure what my feelings were.

I have heard heated debates on this subject in the last few days.  I have heard Christians being so judgemental.   I found myself “thinking”!

I had leaned to the side of “maybe it was too much?”

Let me preface this with I did not think lowering the flag was a good thing. But that’s a different post.

But in saying that I am glad that they televised Whitney Houston’s memorial service.

I do love black church.  I do love Donnie McClurkin (Just Stand), I do love the Winan’s, and I do love Tyler Perry.

But most of all I love the words they shared.  Was Whitney a hero to me?  Not at all.  I loved her voice and her songs.  I was a tad jealous of her relationship with Kevin Costner. (only kidding)

But her service spoke to me.  I saw a Kevin Costner I had never seen before.  Wow!
Who knew he grew up in a Baptist church?

I especially loved the part where he talked about Whitney not thinking she was good enough.  I don’t know about you but that’s something I struggle with…and to say Whitney Houston questioned whether her singing was good enough.  Think about that.

I thought the song Bebe Winans sang was one  beautiful song. The words are still rolling over in my mind.

Tyler Perry could have preached.  The world heard the message of grace and redemption.

T.D. Jakes had a word.  A word I don’t plan to forget.

After watching four and half hours of church, I was again reminded that we are all broken, hurt , damaged humans in need of Jesus.

Whether our addiction is drugs, alcohol, fame, shopping, eating, or the million other addictions…we are all in need of being set free.   Enough about that.  Your thoughts?

This Thursday, the 23rd,  is Baby Crew’s surgery.  Please remember the family.  It will be a very long and hard day.
