I AM AN ADDICT

****My number one drawer of prizes, Parker, decided to spend the night with Austin one more night, so I am extending this drawing until tomorrow (Tuesday) at noon...he will be here to draw then...so you still have a chance.

I AM AN ADDICT! Got that out of the way! But there will be a good surprise giveaway at the end of the post...so stay with me...another addiction.
I am a blog reading addict... I love people's stories. Everyone has one! Problem is I love too many blogs and cannot find a good system to read and keep up with my favorite blogs!
HOW DO YOU READ YOUR BLOGS? PLEASE SEND ME YOUR SUGGESTIONS and YOUR SYSTEM....That's just one addiction. I am addicted to grandsons (the little's), addicted to family ( I really could be on a desert island with just my husband, kids and their families and be perfectly happy), I am addicted to football (that would be #4 on the Vikings who I so hope is returning for another year...big addiction), addicted to magazines and books ( I rarely see a book that does not want to come and live at my house) addicted to coffee and my Keurig, addicted to TV...not sitcoms but the NEWS..I know WEIRD, I am ADDICTED to STAYING UP TOO LATE...that's been a problem for a long time and you will notice many of my posts come in the middle of the night, I am addicted to DISNEY....I am VERY TIGHT WITH MICKEY, I am addicted to FACEBOOK..enough said... a very time consuming addiction but I have reconnected with so many old friends, seen their families for the first time...I am addicted to laptops...always searching for the perfect one...constantly looking, I am addicted to photos and frames, (unique frames) I am addicted to candles, I am addicted to BABIES...and in our family we probably have all the babies we are going to have, so now I have to be addicted to my friends grand babies, I am addicted to GREAT SHEETS and GREAT HOTELS and as soon as I post this I will think of ten more addictions. I think I have an addictive personality. Some people would think I am addicted to Christmas and trees! I AM NOT..that's just my business and far from an addiction.
I am just admitting every addiction I can think of. Confession is good for the soul! Hope you are getting the picture. I have some real idiosyncrasies. Tell me some of yours...so I will know I am not the only BLOGGER that is an ADDICT.

On a very sad note, Maggie the Magnificent, as she was called, left this world yesterday. So many of you have ask about her and prayed for her this past year....thank you...please do not stop. I will just share an email I received from her grandmother yesterday around noon...
Our precious Maggie went to be with the Jesus about 10:30 this morning. The healing was not to be here on earth, but she is safe and perfect in the arms of the Lord. Maggie fought valiantly till the end and no doubt Jesus met her at Heaven's gate with a basket full of blue ribbons and gold medals. Thank you all for the prayers and support you have given our family during this past year. Love, Gail
I can't even write about my feelings about childhood cancer. It is something in life that I cannot wrap my mind around or understand. It seems that every week I hear about a new child in the fight and few things make me any sadder and yes sometimes just depressed.

THE BEST GIFT I EVER GAVE MY KIDS AND GRANDKIDS

We had a great Sunday celebrating Father's Day! We celebrated three GREAT DADS that I am proud to call family.

WITHOUT A DOUBT the GREATEST GIFT I HAVE EVER GIVEN MY KIDS IS THEIR DAD. He not only loves them, he lives to serve them, to make their lives easier! He is the ultimate POP, taking the little's to school and breakfast everyday. That is their time and nothing comes before it. If Amanda is running behind he dresses Jack, then takes the boys to eat, then to two different schools and would not have it any other way. He picks up Parker at school and many days goes back and picks Jack up from his school. He never misses a school program. ALWAYS takes PARKER by to get his snack of choice after school..no place is too far or too inconvenient. He INDULGES the kids with a PASSION and loves every minute of it. THEY ARE BLESSED KIDS. If you read Greg's letter, you will get the picture better from him.

We had a sick little Jack all week last week so did not do our normal out to eat day! The kids gave Jack a GREAT NEW GRILL for FATHERS DAY,
so we stayed home all day and just had family time. Is there anything BETTER? The kids went to the store, bought all the food, cooked all the food and we played with the littles! We watched golf all afternoon, (which I can only watch because it puts us one day closer to football starting),napped and played with kids. Watching little cousins play together is one of my favorite things.

Seems like yesterday Grayson was born, having a rough start and in the NICU. Now he is WALKING every where! How time flies!

Yesterday was a trip to the movies with Jack and Parker to see Toy Story 3. That's an entire post by itself. I got all the prizes shipped today, so if you were a winner, your PRIZE is on its way.

Many of you will remember little Maggie that I ask prayer for some time ago. On her Caringbridge site today her family ask for some privacy as they say their good-byes. She has fought an incredible fight against a horrible brain tumor. They have exhausted every possible treatment from hospitals all across the country. My heart aches for them tonight. I also know her grandparents and have been in contact with them. As I look at my littles I can only try to imagine how they must feel watching both their child and their grandchild go through this. Please say a prayer for the Cobb family tonight.
