HEADING FOR SNOW and HOPING FOR ANOTHER WIN

This may be my only post for a few days. I am getting ready to board Bella with the Zoo Keeper, making notes for the house sitter, packing, repacking, weighing the luggage, weighing it again, (knowing that I have over packed but cannot help myself), last minute errands, nails, hair, and on and on.

No matter how early I start getting my do to list done for a trip, IT ALWAYS GROWS. I am SO looking forward to a week of family, fun, snow and some football. I am feeling sad that Dana,Greg and their boys will not be making this trip with us. Hopefully we can all go on a fall trip when Grayson is a little older. They used all their vacation when he was in the NICU this past summer.

This is a HUGE football weekend. I don't have to tell you that last Sunday was "OH HAPPY DAY" at our house. A couple of people in my family are a little conflicted since the Vikings are playing the Saints. That would NOT BE ME! No conflict here. I want the 40 year 103 day old QB to WIN and head to Miami. I loved it that the ticker kept running his age down to the days, on Sunday. BRETT FAVRE, 40 years and 100 days. I still find that funny. So Sunday will find us watching the games, eating great food and loving our time in Colorado. Snow is predicted for Sunday, so that will just add to the excitement for the day.

Brett has given us so many FOOTBALL THRILLS over the past 18 years! I don't know another player that plays with as much excitement and love for the game. He is JUST GOOD FOR THE GAME. If you are not a football fan, just indulge me.
We are a FOOTBALL FAMILY!

I did get a new camera so hope I have better pictures. If NOT, the camera will go back. I need to get it all set up tomorrow on the plane and read the instructions. Nothing like last minute.

Just in case you are feeling deprived of pictures of Jack. Both boys spent the night last night, but Parker was asleep when I thought to make some pictures. Below is Jack pondering his up coming vacation and whether he plans to be nice on the plane. We have a portable DVD player, new DVD's and prayer. This is his last week to FLY FREE. I assigned him to his Dad's seat, but have a feeling we will all get a turn.
HE CAN BE SO SERIOUS
HE STEALS MY HEART EVERY TIME!

This weekend will be bittersweet no matter who wins for me. I went to USM and I have been friends with the Favre family and Brett for almost 20 years. So I really really want Brett to do well. In fact I told his mother this week , he HAD to do this on the year the SAINTS were actually winning! LOL I love my Saints and would love to see them win. So, conflict is an understatement for me! Enjoy the game!!!

Have a wonderful little mini vacation! And we will be cheerin' and yellin' and everything else it takes to encourage those Vikings right along with you! Go Vikes! I can't believe where I work (out of the women - like 9 of them) my family is about the only real fan...I couldn't believe it! Your grandkids are all so cute!

I almost cried (okay, I actually did get choked up) when they showed Brett Favre giving Tony Romo a hug after the game and whispering something in his ear. It's like he's a father to all of the young quarterbacks.

I have to admit - it was hard NOT to root for the Vikings. I'd love to see the 40 year, 103 day old quarterback get one more ring!!

I'm pulling for the old man! :) Maybe they'll play the Colts! Now there would be some conflict for me. Blessings, SusanD

I'm hoping it's the Colts vs. Vikings in the big game. We love Brett but we love Peyton more. Sorry : ) We're long time Volunteer fans and once a Vol always a Vol. I should be rooting for the Jets since they're kinda the home team for us now.

Have a great trip!

Guess what? I am a grammy now. :) Elijah Graham was born on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, and my heart will never be the same!

So hope you are enjoying the snow getaway!! Do not have much to say about football, as we've never been into that before in our family, but now that the daughter's son has arrived, she has expressed an interest in finding out more about the game. "After all," she said, "who will teach him about it except for me?" She is already such a great mother.
Anyway, I just wanted to say I hope you are relaxing, enjoying family, and loving the snow!
I also wanted to say thank you for the lovely calendar...it will come in handy for me in my classroom. I appreciate the chance to win!
Take care. Be safe...can't wait to see photos of the trip. :)

I was pulling for Brett and the Vikings myself. Too bad and really too bad they had to lose with an errant pass on his part. He will have a difficult time with that. But he did his best and more than any other 40 year old I know could do. Have a great week.

Even though we are Saints fans, we would have been happy for Brett Favre. He is an amazing player and we would have been happy to see him play in the Super Bowl.

What a handsome little Dude - no wonder he steals your heart. You are blessed with a gorgeous family.
