*****Had to add this ....It is hot off the press...Game Day..Jack is READY
I have only known this for a few days,so little time to get ready.
Jack and I are going on a week vacation, leaving the end of this week.
I have FINALLY finished taking trees down (well not mine), totally exhausted, but so happy to wrap up the season.
ELF Terris is hosting a WRAP party this week…then I will be packing for some COLD weather.
We are going to CHICAGO, a city we have never been to.
It is a city I have always wanted to visit. I am really looking forward to it.
It’s half business (will tell you more about that later) and half pleasure so am looking forward to some fun days.
I cannot remember the last trip we took without a LITTLE.
I need those that have been there to send me shopping, dining, fun things to do and see SUGGESTIONS.
This will be Jack’s first time to travel since his stroke,as in a long trip and flying. I would love for you to pray that he will not have any problems. He thinks I am crazy to be the least bit concerned, but I guess I will never feel quite as carefree.
If you would rather email me than write in the comments my email is
annah99@aol.com!
Look what my Amanda got this week…She had worn my Moms wedding ring the first four years of their marriage and this was Micah's Christmas gift to her. He let her design it so she just got it Friday! I am a so happy for her….(she does need to get her nails filled in)

Have a great week. I have never been to Chicago so I am looking forward to hearing about your trip. Amanda's ring is beautiful.
I don't know how cold it will be when you're there but I love the architectural tour by boat. The red bus hop on/hop off tour around the city is a fun way to get an overview and hear a lot of interesting bits about Chicago and see some of the main sites.
We were there the weekend before Christmas and it was 50 degrees! Not typical for winter in Chicago but if its super cold there is always all that fabulous shopping on Michigan Ave!
I will certainly pray for a great trip for both of you! I am going to Chicago in July, so I am interested in suggestions too! Have a blessed day and LOVE the ring:) HUGS!
Can't help you...never been to Chicago either but hubs has and he LOVED it!!
Your girl's ring is gorgeous!
Thought you would love and appreciate my post today!
Woohoo, what a beautiful ring! 'Lost my diamond two years ago and has not yet been replaced.
Seems like things like cattle, crops and machinery come first 'round here! Heeehehehe!
Oh, you two are gonna have a fabulous time in Chicago alone. Some time I'm sure you can both use and soooooo deserve.
What will ya ever do without a little with ya? :o)
I WILL pray for Jack, he may not but I do understand your concerns.
God bless ya sweetie and you two go have the time of your lives!!!
Woohoo!!!!
Chicago is a fun place ~ although we always are there on Bob's business so most of our meals are of the business variety. {always good though} When we have some time on our own the concierge always has a good spot to get some pizza or whatever.
Love Michigan Avenue, lots of walking and shopping. Also love the Art Institute if you like art museums. It's a beauty!
Last time we were there we went to Navy Pier and did the boat thing, but it is probably way too cold for that. We go to Chicago this fall, so I will be looking to see what you did!
{we are going on a quick trip to see the mouse ~ always think of you when we go}
Have a great time in Chicago Teresa, and I will pray for safe travels for both of you.
Well I hope you will have a wonderful time in Chicago....and that the Lord will bless your sox off!
Amanda's ring is beautiful!
Love ya! Try not to worry about Jack. Just rest in the Lord.
I haven't been there so I can't help on suggestions BUT I am lifting you and Jack up in prayer. Praying for safe travels, Jack's health, and a wonderful trip to start off a wonderful 2012 for you all!
The ring is gorgeous! My tree will be coming down later this week after I get the other stuff put away. Make sure you go to a museum if you have time. He might like the Field Museum. Try Gino's deep dish pizza or a Lou Malnati's. I recommend getting just cheese. If you find an Aurelio's pizza it is a must thin crust pizza. I love their sausage. A great hot dog or a Carm's beef is also great. We enjoyed Ditka's restaurant in the city. Of course you want to do the John Hancock building. Will you be in the city or a suburb?
Have fun in Chicago. I have never been there but have wanted to go....in the summer:) I hate cold weather! The ring is gorgeous. XO, Pinky
uno's pizza ;)

Sending traveling prayers y'alls way!! I know you will have a wonderful time!
Love Amanda's ring!
I love Chicago. I don't get there often enough. I love Wildfire Grill and Sweetwater to eat. Definitely go to Willis Tower and see the skydeck. Shopping at Water Tower Place and Michigan Avenue. The Bean in Grant Park. Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry, Navy Pier, take in a show. I could go on and on. Have an awesome trip and I'll say a little pray for Jack.
Praying for the hubbstir!
Love the ring, really love it!
Get rested.....
Hugs!

I hope you are having/or have had a wonderful time.
OMG that ring is gorgeous!
Hey you are coming (or already came?) to my city. Best breakfast place downtown ... Lou Mitchells. and our favorite coffee ... Intelligencia. All of downtown is a delight.
Fondly,
Glenda
Hey Teresa - I just had to tell you that I just realized you know a friend of mine! Nancy Hester and I were really good friends when I lived in Shreveport over 25 years ago! I babysat Adam for her when she was working back then and my oldest daughter and Jake were born about 6 weeks apart. We recently got back in touch through facebook and i saw that you were on her friends list! Small world isn't it?
Hi Teresa! I hope you have a wonderful time and I will say a prayer for your hubby! Your daughter's ring is just beautiful and what a sweet hubby. I know that blesses your heart!
Now I'm following almost all of your 900 boards on Pinterest! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Teresa, thank you so much for stopping by my little blog. Sounds like you are off to a great trip! I recall the first trip after my accident a mix of excitement and anxiety ... I will be saying a little prayer that Jack's first trip goes smoothly and that it will be the first of many, many more for him..xo HHL
