I am posting rather quickly, so you may want to go back and read the last post.
Last night I had the honor of having my little Jack all to myself…for 24 hours…and we had so much fun. Pop went to bed early. His hand is extra swollen and I think he has over compensated with his right leg which is his old football knee and now its bothering him…so he turned in early. Jack and I stayed up until 1 AM, just playing with all the musical Christmas animals, (only grandparents can stand these) hanging more ornaments, and naming all the old ones…He also helped me tweak the mantle…I decided to LOAD it with sparkling ornaments…I would have a few hundred ornaments left over..and he loved choosing his favorites..We had candles burning, Christmas music playing! A sweet, sweet night. Parker was at a sleep over so it was just Jack getting ALL the ATTENTION. Then the doorbell rang early this morning and SANTA had dropped off a gift Grammy and Pop had ordered and it had Jack’s name on it….and this boy got excited. I will save that picture for last…Life does not get better than this….Christmas magic through the eyes of a little boy.
BEGINNING THE GARLAND….now it’s twice this full.
We wish you PEACE!
AND NOW THE BEST PART OF THE DAY…….
A NEW BUZZ BED
TWO BROTHER SHARING a SWEET MOMENT and then came a call from JACK….”Grammy, this bed is AWESOME”! I WUV IT!
And that’s Christmas….a child’s smile. I am sitting alone in my family room, all the lights out except for the trees. I can sit on the couch and see five trees, in three rooms, a mantle and a table filled with trees and Mickey's…the fireplace is going, I have a hot cup of tea, Christmas carols are playing on a little CD player hidden under a tree skirt. (Have I told you I collect holiday CD’s…I think I have over 200…so its hard to choose a favorite..and I am going to type my to do list for tomorrow..and get to bed early…well early for me. We had a wonderful day…Greg came by with Austin, (Grayson is sick) then Micah cooked all day and made the MOST awesome crawfish bisque and a special bread that I loved. Amanda made a special dessert..We played cards and watched some football. We know that playing cards is a great fine motor skill exercise for Jack so we try and play often.. We talked about how fun our upcoming trip is going to be…A very special family night..
I am hoping for a no stress week and I wish it for you too!

You are a fun grandma! It sounds like you and little Jack had a wonderful time together. (In those pictures he has the prettiest hair with the curls in the back) He is a beautiful child.
That's neat that grandma and Pops bought him a new "Buzz" bed. And I loved the picture with his brother in there with him!
There is a little girl inside of you that likes the beauty, and the charming and exciting things in life! I love that about you!
I do good to do one little tree...but I love it, and I keep adding to it until I take it down.
And I HATE to take it down. I just think it adds a little sparkle and magic to life! (:>)
And you know what? YOU add a little sparkle and magic to many people's lives!
Love ya,

Sometimes in blogland, there are posts that you want to read again and again! This is one of those! I am so thankful for where you all are after all you have been thru! That sweet Jack is a precious little boy and my FAVORITE picture is the one of him looking at the tree, reaching for the wish ornaments, with the Christmas lights shining... PRECIOUS! He really got a great gift of the BUZZ bed, too cute AND he WUVS it:)
Have a blessed day my friend! BIG HUGS and continued prayers!
I loved your post. Time with grandkids is so special! I love my time, too! The pictures were sweet. I'm glad you both had that moment. It is nice to see you at peace and happy, too. Have a great week, Teresa!

A child's smile- absolutely the best!
Oh yes, you're so right, seeing a child's smile, that's what Christmas is all about!! It sounds like an absolutely perfect day and night you had with Jack and then to have the Buzz Lightyear bed delivered the next morning...couldn't have been better timing:-) That last picture of Jack and Parker just brought a lump to my throat...so very precious. xoxo
Oh how can a child not love all your giltzy decorations and color and a wonderful Grammy and Grandpa. Nice to have a one on one! And what a happy boy with his new bed! Do you all know how to play the card game golf? That was great therapy at our home and the dice game Farkle or other name 10 thousand? I'll email you if you want. HAVE A GREAT WEEK! jo in MN
So glad you are able to enjoy the magic of this season, in your home surrounded by everyone you love!
Sounds like a perfect evening and of course your decorations are beautiful. That bed is adorable.
Love the bed, I have 2 little grandsons that would think that is pretty cool. There is nothing better than spending time with the grands! Glad you're getting some "fun" times again.
Sounds like you had a great evening with Jack.

May you have a very Merry Christmas!
Oh girl you had my crying my eyes out! What a happy post, your little is too precious for words. The bed is just so cute, I'm glad he enjoyed it! Enjoy your trees & your family! God Bless
Dear Teresa,
You were on my mind today. My mom is in the CCU at the hospital as of Sunday. She has Alzheimers and now has a bad Pneumonia. A lot of antibiotics and draining fluids from lungs. I was just about "under" and not able to put one foot in front of the other at the hospital today. You and your family's ordeal popped into my head and I had HOPE. So I appreciate you sharing your story of Jack with all of us. I am keeping my faith up and having hope.
So happy you are having enjoyable days. Blessings they are for sure.
Tanya
It's so wonderful to "hear" happiness in your words my sweet friend! Loved seeing the photos of adorable Jack. He's getting to be such a big boy! Wow, what an awesome bed. I'm sure he and his Woody are gonna love sleeping in it.
Much love and big hugs,
Kat
Your feelings of exhiliration over being finished with all the Christmas tree jobs feels very familiar to me. No, I certainly never trimmed anyone else's tree - I don't even like doing my own! - but for many years my pre-Christmas season was defined by my Christmas productions at school and at church. When they were all finished I always had this amazing realization that I had made it, and it was such a sense of relief. There are aspects of those days that I really miss, but when I get to play and cuddle with my grandson every single weekday, I thank the Lord that He has allowed me to be free of the hyper-stress that went with it.
Oh, and I meant to say too that I am rejoicing with you for all that the Lord has done for you and your family in the past couple of months since I first checked your blog. This post and the pictures of Jack are so precious and heart-warming. So happy for you!
Oh my goodness Jack is absolutely adorable!!! What a joy he must be to have all to yourself..
hugs ~lynne~
