THREE WEEKS and 10 STEPS

I don’t have long to write tonight, but just came from seeing Jack at the REHAB CENTER. It has been three weeks today since our life turned upside down with one telephone call. Jack totally shocked me this afternoon. He got up from a chair, walked at least 10 steps, totally unassisted…got in and out of a chair several times, actually its almost unbelievable to me.  I had a bad morning, just missing him being home, missing our normal Saturday routine. Missing all his help in getting ready to start tree season, just plain old missing him…Seeing him walk gave me so much HOPE!

We will have new pictures up on the Christmas blog on Monday.  It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas at my house now.  Wreaths and trees everywhere.
And for a smile…
Only a Grammy would still give a almost 3 year old little, choco MILK in a BABY BOTTLE. He looks quite HAPPY!

Have a GREAT SUNDAY!

Yay! That is amazing and wonderful! Jack is really working hard and it shows.

The look of contentment on Jack's face while drinking his bottle says it all.

How very lucky both of you are! To recover to this level so quickly is amazing. Before long you'll have him back home again. Then you'll probably have to keep him from doing too much too soon!

Blessings!

I join everyone here in congratulating Jack on such a great accomplishment. Know, honey, that I am praying fervently for this time that you are going through...for his healing & strengthening, for you in patience & peace & grace & strength to deal with the trials this has brought you, and for your family to uphold & sustain you both. Don't be afraid to call on those whom you have always given to...it's okay to take too. That's what families DO! Tell Jack (& remind yourself) of Matthew 14:22-33 of Peter walking on the water out to Jesus - especially vs. 27 when Jesus says, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." Jack is walking on his own water right now, with every single step! And Jesus is right there to catch him if he falls. Wonderful news, dear one, wonderful news!!! God has great things in store with the testimony of this & what you will both do for Him from this experience. I'm just as excited to read what that will be, as I am with this glorious news. Praise you, Jesus, for your healing, and sustaining! Hugs & love ~ Merana

Oh, that is Wonderful news! We never know what seemingly small things will one day be Huge Blessings, do we? I'm blissed out just thinking about this.

And I have to smile at your little one. It brings back memories of my own grandson's first encounter with choco milk. His mama gave him some in his bottle, and he took a sip, took the bottle out of his mouth, asked, "What is this?" tried it again, took the bottle out again, and exclaimed, "What IS this?!" and just guzzled the rest. It was so cute and funny! Guess he must've liked it, lol.
