Rather than repeat WORDS and PICTURES,
I HOPE you will HOP over to my
HOLIDAY BLOG for a visit and see our FUN FILLED week with a few pictures of some cute kids! Our kids and their kids.
NEXT week I will be back doing most of my posting on GRAMMY GIRLFRIEND..aka Teresa's Treasures. What treasures I have in family and friends and NOW I can say BLOGGERS. THIS has been such a fun year entering the world of BLOGGING!
Now I have my good friends and elves,
TERRI and ELIZABETH both stop by and see them.

This time last year, starting a blog was just a whim, just a thought, just a desire and look what happened! 104 posts later, then 70 plus posts on my Holiday blog and I am HOOKED. It is still mind boggling to me. As I have said before, I am not a great writer, I post crummy pictures, so it has to be my CUTE GRANDKIDS and maybe the fact that I know a little about tree decorating.

We are vacationing in January. I am looking forward to some downtime. It just happens to fall at the same time as the Beth Moore Siesta event and I so hate to miss it. Houston is just a few hours from me, but these were the dates we could coordinate vacations and condos and it is Jack's last week to fly FREE. For a change we are taking the family to Vail, a COLD VACATION. Mickey will come later in the year. We would never want the MOUSE to think we were slighting him.

THEN FEBRUARY will be my one year BLOG ANNIVERSARY! I have GIFTS, GIFTS and MORE GIFTS planned. I want to CELEBRATE YOU, MY NEW FRIENDS. I want all the lurkers to come out and identify themselves. Several have done that recently and I am so happy to get to know you. The next couple of weeks I am planning to STAY home! I hate after Christmas sales...I hate RETURNS! The stores have little appeal to me in January. I want to sit in front of the fireplace and catch up on lots of blog reading, read a few books, watch a few TIVOED shows, do a little computer work (as in learn a new computer that sits in the box), mostly stay in pajamas, watch a LOT of football, play with some little guys and all their new toys, pack for vacation, maybe play some cards with the girls (something I get to do almost NEVER during tree season), frame lots of snapshots from the holidays....and see some movies with MY MAN. We did see BROTHERS last week. One word..INTENSE!

Then I racked up at Christmas and received TWO FULL SPA DAYS that I plan to use SOON, plus another spa day in VAIL. Those are my favorite gifts...ALWAYS. ALWAYS..ALWAYS!!

One day next week I am going to share with you some of my VERY favorite blogs and bloggers and why I love them. They are really the reason I finally took the plunge. I wanted to know them. If you have a special blog that really got you started or really speaks to you, please share it with me.

Seems like we should start the new year with at least one prize. I have some BEAUTIFUL CALENDARS in my shop that we used in holiday baskets. I would love to mail ONE to YOU along with a few other things that will help you get organized for the new year. I will keep the comments open through Monday night....just leave me a comment letting me know what drew you to my blog and what kept you here. IF you are a first time commenter or lurker, your name will be added twice. You know I hate one winner, so let's make it two or maybe three. I am looking forward to catching up on YOUR blogs.

Answering your question of what brought me to your blog. I think you are in the Maxers group and that is where I first learned of it. What kept me was of course Christmas but also the baby story. Babies always get me. I do love seeing the work you do and even though I'm only a mini-maxer, you do inspire me.
Merry Christmas season and happy new year.

I think I found your blog through someone else's - or did you find me first! I truly can't remember! But I do know that when I was in France for a year my Blogland friends were wonderful company for me, so thank you for being part of that! And continuing to be, really.
I'm glad you are enjoying the holidays. So am I - and it's rather hot down under where I am! All the best. x

I am trying to remember exactly what brought me to your blog... surfing the blogosphere I am pretty sure and seeing another Grammy even if that was Grammy + Girlfriend.

What keeps me coming back? YOU and your genuine love for family and friends. Being open and honest and not afraid to share the important moments that make life special.

Hugs to you this holiday.

Good morning, Teresa! We are glad you joined the blogging world, too. I remember when I hit my one year mark how remarkable that felt for me. It's a really neat world (blogging) a very special community that those who do not blog do not understand. Have a great new year, sounds like you are ready to meet it head on!

I started blogging to tell my story (God's Story) was His idea.

I dropped in because of your visit and the nice comment you left. I'll be returning because I enjoy your writing!

I think I found you through a friend in Louisiana and the original topic was First Monday in Canton... Though I could be very wrong. Nonetheless, I really enjoy looking at all the new decorating items on the market and how you use them.

Just how do you think I could not visit a blog called "grammy girlfriend"? That is what drew me here, and that is what has kept me coming back time and time again. We have that "pecial grandma thing" in common, and I never thought one of the pictures you have shared over this year, was in your words...crummy. I loved seeing your little ones, and hearing about your love and adoration for them. Yes, a baby does change everything. It has been a real joy to learn to know you. Your generosity and kindness amaze me.

Hope you have a wonderful, memorable trip! Thank you for introducing each of the new blogs. What fun!

I can't remember how I came across your blog. But I'm amazed that it's only been a year that you've been blogging. You've become quite good at it!

My husband and I were married in Vail 25 years ago. So it is a special place for us. We had a very small wedding with immediate family and a few friends who flew in for the event. We got married in a little church and had our reception at The Lodge. Such wonderful memories of walking through the village in the snow.

I know you will have a wonderful time on your trip to such a lovely place.

Thank you for your visits to Heart Choices. I have the feeling you may have visited me and then I found you.

Enjoy your time of rest after Christmas and may you have a wonderful new year.

Teresa, thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind comment.(yes, first time here & definitely adding it to my favs) I love decorating for Christmas and always feel a little saddness when putting it up. I am thankful the Lord is in my heart with that I can always celebrate!
I started blogging after visiting others and being encouraged to try it. It has been a time of healing in my life for the many trials that my family and I have been through. I am hooked, too! Your blog is so lovely and enjoying your grandchildren stories :) I will stop by for visits again.

Enjoy your time in beautiful Vail.
God bless you & your family,

I found you through The Benson Family and Other Stuff, my real life friend, Natalie's blog. She's the reason I blog in the first place- I wanted to be able to easily see the photos and read the great stories. I found that I love it, though I do not have much time to spend doing it as I would like! I came to your blog when I saw the title- A Baby Changes Everything- because I know that was true in my own life and is about to be true in my daughter's life! And what a special place I found...such a wonderful testimony, a precious family, with a fabulously fun grammy! Thank you for allowing me to stop by and visit from time to time.
Enjoy the wintery vacation and all of those wonderful spa days! You deserve them...
Blessings to you and your family in the New Year,
