Dana and Austin...Perfect for our family

DANA...THE PERFECT WIFE FOR GREG and
AUSTIN, BETTER KNOWN as PARKERS BEST FRIEND!

A Dream Vacation
Dreams Do Come True!

One Tired Boy

3 Buddies visiting the MOUSE

Downtown MGM

IN
LOVE

When Greg married Dana five years ago, we got a bonus boy....She had a little guy we fell in love with. Austin was 3 and quickly became Parker's best friend. They spend every weekend together. Austin has always referred to Greg as Daddygreg... that is ALL one word. You would NEVER know he is not Greg's biological child. Although he has two other sets of grandparents that love him, we just consider ourselves as his bonus set. Austin is so excited about his new little brother arriving in June. When baby Jack was born, he was mesmerized by him. He loves for his Mom to "keep" Jack. I have so many sweet pictures of him loving on Jack.

Dana...is every mothers dream for her boy. She loves him and she confirms that to me over and over. The best words to describe her other than beautiful, would be LOW Maintenance...
She is just agreeable to whatever and whenever...
She and Greg have dreamed of a baby since the day they married and it has been a long road. At times it seemed like it would not happen. Dana has a hard time with pregnancy and the sadness of miscarriage has been a part of their lives. And then that "happy day" happened again..the day after we returned from our family Disney World trip in October...she found out she was pregnant. For the first 4 months, none of us took a deep breath. Today she is 30 weeks and we are anxiously awaiting a new little guy the middle of June. Dreams do come true. I remember standing in front of the castle during the "Wishes" fireworks show late one night, praying that God would give them a baby. Little did I know, he had already taken care of that wish!
My boy will have a boy and that just makes me smile...Dana and Austin made Greg's life complete and then God just added another treasure to their family. Makes me want to sing that song.."How Great is Our God"!

What a precious story you shared. I love to hear things like this. Our God really does answer prayer.

BTW, I tagged you on Heart Choices this morning. It's called 8 Things and is an easy and fun way to get to know other bloggers. No pressure.

dearest friend - tonight's key verse is Psalm 127:1 "unless the Lord builds a house, its builder labor over it in vain. . ."
i think you were right on when you
prayed for an angel baby to be
on its way to your child's house.

as you stood looking at the magic
castle with a full heart along with
Jack, Gregg, & Dana - He saw some
souls with no hope but what He gives. You all knew He is the
builder of our families -

and I can imagine Him just agrinnin ( smile with tears)
because before you asked,
He provided.

hugs to you, patti

How exciting to have another one on the way. My son has four little girls and they will not have any more kids. I would have liked him to have a son....oh well, God had a plan (o:

Dreams really do come true, and sometimes prayers are answered before we even ask! I have enjoyed reading about all your grandsons and the love that pours out of you when you describe each one. What a blessing for them to be loved like that! But I know that just like a true grandmother, you consider yourself the one most blessed.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I really enjoyed looking at yours, reading your stories and seeing the pictures of your beautiful family. I admire the grace and peace you have that comes through your writing. Life is not easy for anyone, but it doesn't seem to perturb you in any way. That is my goal, something I hope to achieve in my life someday. Thank you for sharing with a stranger-blogger. =)

AAAWWWWWWW... I LOVE all the sweet things you said about your daughter-in-law! She's beautiful and I'm so happy to hear that she's such a great addition to your family. I'm ALREADY PRAYING for the just the right "girls" for my boys to marry. I want them to have JUST the RIGHT one! ☺ (I'm praying that I'll be a good mom-in-law too and that I'll have the relationship that you have with Dana) What an AWESOME testimony!

Oh, I almost forgot.. I came over to say THANKS for your comment at my blog! It always blesses my socks off when I get to meet someone that "knew" Brent. Thanks so much for telling me that you knew us from then. I'm planning to update his site again and redirect anyone that wants to keep up with our family to my blog. It's just SOOO HARD to go to his site. So many memories of HOPE there. Now don't get me wrong, now my HOPE is in what JESUS did and KNOWING that we WILL see our sweet boy again! I'm just saying that it's hard to update from there. (It feels weird to go to Brent's place and ramble on and on about the rest of us.. I guess I want to keep it for him)

Before I go.. I'm having a giveaway next week from my blog. (A $25 giftcard) If you get a minute (and if you want to) stop by and leave a comment on the giveaway post. It'd be really neat if you won!

THANKS AGAIN for introducing yourself. It's been a PLEASURE getting to know you. ☺

Love,
Tonya

My stepmother's mom called me over to her immediately after her daughter and my dad finished saying their vows and said, "We're MaMaw and PaPaw now honey." I NEVER forgot the way she said it and the look on her face. And they were my "bonus" grandparents. She for 20 years and he for 29. Their picture is right next to my "original" grandparents on my entertainment center. As I told my stepdaughter when she told us she was expecting our first grandchild, "A child can never have too many grandparents. I have been a stepmother since I was 18, but I refuse to be a 'step' grandmother." My grandkids didn't hear the word "step" until they were old enough to ask their moms, "How do you have two moms? Grandma and Mimi?" I told my stepdaughter she'd better explain that quickly before the child went to school talking about her mom's TWO MOMMIES! LOL
I don't think my "step" grandchildren will ever feel like "step." I definitely don't feel like a "step." Kudos to you, too, for excepting and loving Austin. I know Dana appreciates it more than you'll ever know. =)

Oh, man, I meant "accepting" not excepting. I hate misspelling anything!
