WINNER and A LITTLE PARKER

We are out of town on our annual mini vacation with Parker, always right before school starts...Just a few days of anything Parker wants, anything Parker wants to do and anything Parker wants to EAT. Tonight that means renting movies at a NICE hotel and room service... after a swim. His life is ROUGH.

I have no clue where the summer went. Tomorrow a few hours at market..then to check out some GAME STOPS. He loves it that Dallas is the headquarters for GS. He brought some of his old games to trade in and I think he is pretty sure what that does not cover, he knows someone that will. Then off to see some movies at the theater along with a stop at the Cheesecake Factory (his favorite)! We also have a special ritual of going to
CENTRAL MARKET and WHOLE FOODS and maybe SPRINKLES. This is only funny because we are not even the real healthy kind of eaters....Going to those two stores is not grocery shopping, its an EXPERIENCE. We love seeing what other people have in their carts. We are nosey like that. I wish I could bottle these special times with him. At eleven and a tween, it is not going to be cool to travel with Grammy and Pop many more years.
THE WINNER OF IN A HEARTBEAT is

and guess what? I bought two more copies so the other winner is

I am listening to the weather and they are saying tomorrow is going to be 105....I cannot tell you how that distresses someone like me that HATES HOT weather..I can NEVER remember SO wanting FALL to arrive. HAVE a GREAT WEEK.

Oh, I sure hope Parker realizes just how wonderful you are to him! Makes me miss my grandbabies oh so much! Enjoy your time together before he starts back to school. It's H.O.T. here too. Almost hard to breath when you step outside.

Hugs,
Kat

You are a great grandmother! My parents took my children traveling, on separate trips, last year. Oh, how wonderful they knew to enjoy every minute of their time with their grandparents. I would say you are the best grandmother, but really, my mom is the best grandmother. Ask her grandkids! Still, you have an awesome blog. I would love to grocery shop with you. How fun. Thanks so much for sharing. I'm going to share your blog with my mom.

Don't you wish you could have a day like Parker's? How fun! Living through his happiness is probably the same if not even better! I HATE the heat too, and it has been plenty hot and humid up here in Indiana. Come on harvest weather!

My grandparents used to have my brother and I spend a week with them every summer. They were such treasured times and they would always bawl every time we left. :) I actually still go (but now it's for a weekend) every fall to spend time with them. We have such fun!

Love it:) My guess is that Parker will never stop traveling and spending time with you ~ because of the genuine unconditional LOVE that you give him. The relationship that you share with your adult children and grandchildren is so special and blesses my heart.

They might not always admit it but when you have that kind of link, it is always cool to travel with Grammy and Pop...I don't think you need to worry. Looks like you are doing all the right things, which really boils down to loving that little guy to within an inch of his existence. Keep having fun, that's what counts.

These are the things memories are made of - taking the time with the grandkids. I do things with my granddaughter that we "never had the time" to do with our kids. Just letting them choose and do fun things will always be a great memory for him.

I sure hope that Parker knows what a treasure he has in you. What a treat. My grandmother would take us out one at a time for 'our day'. How I treasure those special memories.

Congrats to the book winners, I'm sure their gonna enjoy!

God bless and have a fun day filled with summer blessings!!!

Will you be MY grandmother? :0) I wish I saw my grandsons more so I could spoil them like that. You are very blessed, as are they.

I'm SO excited about winning the book! I can't wait to read it. I sent you an email with all my info. THANKS SO MUCH!!
