SNAIL MAIL

This is a chance to put snail mail into action. Many of you left comments of outrage at the recent tragedy in my town. Tragedy seems to trite of a word. THIS was a hideous act of a child predator, an animal. In most situations you want your rage to subside, in this case I want mine to remain and I want to think of ways I can be proactive in changing some very LAX laws. I received tons of emails. I even thought is was a post that might bring some controversy with it, but I had to post it. It didn't ....only the same passionate outrage as I had.

I am working on some of my own cards tonight and thought this might be a chance for you to bless a HURTING MOM and her family. I don't feel free to post her address, but if you would like to drop her a note, email me at annah99@aol.com and I will tell you how you can send it. The days ahead for her, after all the tributes are over,(the school had one today and there have been many over the past few days)are going to be a horrible new normal. Every picture, every home video she posts on her FB and tribute pages, breaks my heart again. This was such a loved and amazing little boy.
It's been 10 days now and I am sure the reality of the situation is just beginning to become REAL. I would love for her to know, that not only our community, but all over the nation that she is being prayed for. I don't know why some cases make it to the Fox and CNN prime time news. I have a feeling for every Elizabeth Smart (and what a beautiful example of a young lady) there are hundreds of other cases that we never hear about. Let's not be SILENT about this sick, evil beyond words, thing that is preying on and killing innocent children. Not one of us think it will ever be ours, but I would dare say that 10 days ago, Amy felt exactly the same way. Think about sending some love to a stranger.

Bless your heart! I can't even imagine the anguish that she is feeling as well as the rest of the family.

Teresa, it killed me to do it, but I actually told my children the story because it scared me so. I have a very trusting 11 year old that I immediately (in my mind) put in this little boy's place. The family has been and will be in my paryers

My heart aches for her. Slow down the wagon 'cause I want to hop on!
I can't even begin to imagine her pain. Thanks for allowing us to take part in this uplifting act of love. This is truly what life is all about.

Ya'll have a wonderfully bless day my Christian Sister.

oh my - I don't know what to say. That is just awful. We the citizens of this country need to take a stand somehow against letting these people out of jail. In the area I live in a man got a job as a CNA, after his release, and beat and rapped an elderly woman. She died. He had already done this 3 times! That is why he was in jail. He was released for good behavior. Something needs to be done about this system we have! This is just awful!

thanks for stopping by my blog - look for an email from me.

Oh, Teresa. This is such a horrible nightmare but it's not a nightmare it's real! My prayers go out to the family of this precious little boy and hopefully folks will wake up and try to protect our children better.
Blessings to you,
Shelia ;)

How horrible! Reading the article it looks like we aren't all that far apart. This story scares the life out of me. Having children that age, I will be going home and talking to them about this. My thoughts are with this greving mother.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hope to see you again! I'm your newest follower!

I don't know what happened in your town, but based on the other comments I think I can guess. Violence against children, of any kind, is just so horribly wrong it makes my whole self hurt. I would LOVE to send this mother a card - please e-mail me her address: sarahluree@verizon.net. Thanks for writing such a painful and necessary post. I'm going to go hug my kids now.
