FULL OF RANDOM and ANOTHER WINNER

Guess I better start a new post and stop adding to the old one....You can still read my PARTY POST here! I have had so much fun blog hopping and enjoying the party. I am glad we have a couple more days to meet new friends...The creativity of the blog world blows me away.

I am waiting on some Easter pictures from my daughter-in-law. I really do have a CUTE EASTER POST, where at the second restaurant we went to that day after church, (the first one had a very long wait) we were seated at the table next to a blogger that reads my blog and she recognized our family. Not sure if that's good or bad, but they were the cutest family and we got some great pictures. We had a very CRANKY and TIRED Jack with us, so that may have given us away.

I was touched that there were so many great comments about
Phil and Amy Mickelson. It is a story that has warmed my heart all week. What a beautiful example of FAMILY! I would love to see this picture on the cover of SPORTS ILLUSTRATED, but they have not called and asked me....so just HOPING!

I told you this was RANDOM....we saw two good movies this week...I have never seen a Tyler Perry movie that I did not like. EVER! So I loved his new movie. Today my husband and I saw The Last Song and it was good, but very sad. Jack had already read the book and we are both Nicholas Sparks fans.

I am still walking though I have not been blogging about it but I did 4 miles tonight and my walking buddy is invaluable. I had forgotten how much easier and more fun it is to walk with a partner.

Many of you have emailed me about Amy, the Mom to Justin, the 12 year old boy in my town that was abducted and killed a few weeks ago by a twice convicted sex offender. Yesterday he was charged with first degree murder and the D.A. is seeking the death penalty with great passion. I had an email from Amy and she said she was in court and able to look him in the eye. I can only imagine her feelings. Please continue to pray for her and her entire family as they go through the process of justice. I would offer my services in a minute to do away with this animal. There are a lot of things in life that I get, but one that I don't, is abuse of innocent children. I feel myself going into another RANT...so I will stop.

OK, I GIVE, I cannot resist telling you this. Only those that have read my blog for awhile will get it. Last week, Brett Favre became a grandfather...I am hoping he will be the FIRST NFL player to play as a grandfather. That means I am SO HOPING he will play one more year. Brittney had a little boy and they named him PARKER BRETT! What are the chances that would happen? My Parker could not believe it. His words when I called him were "Grammy, no way"!

I had some blood work done last week and my cholesterol is up a little. I had it down to 178 and now its up over 200. Send me some tips on getting it down. I am one of those that CANNOT take statins. They make me feel like I have the flu 24/7, but I have been taking Zetia. High cholesterol runs in my family, especially among the women, so I really need to be proactive about it. I hope the walking is going to make a difference. But if you know any vitamins, natural stuff, I am open to try anything.

And just in case you are an American Idol fan, my favorites are Crystal and Michael. And if you love Dancing With The Stars, I am still trying to find a favorite. I would love to hear yours.

REMEMBER all comments through Thursday night, on either blog, go into the drawing for the $100.00 Gift Basket. IF the stock market stays up all week, there might be some extra prizes! AND I think I may be going to see the MOUSE the end of MAY. I don't have to tell you how HAPPY that makes me.

I really love all my new blog friends. I am going to share a list of some of the GEMS I have found during the BLOG PARTY. Now if this has not been RANDOM, I don't know what is.

Enough random...you are probably beyond bored. The WINNER of the last card package this week is HOUSE QUEEN @ THE QUEEN OF MY HOUSE and THE DOWTY FAMILY ! She has two sites and the CUTEST LITTLE GUYS EVER, well almost the cutest. I just remembered my four little men. Go by and visit her site. I want to read more. It looks like my kind of blog.

Happy day dear Teresa! I don't mind a bunch of randomness in a blog, love Brett Favre:) Congrats to the card package winners. Love mine and enjoy sending them to friends. I think of you with each one I use. Have a blessed day my friend!

Have you tried going to the health food store and asking them for some advice? I am sure there are lots of foods and supplements that will naturally reduce cholesterol. Also, cutting out animal will help a lot too - that's where cholesterol comes from.

I enjoyed this random! Just want to say thanks for reminding me about snail mail and how I love to get cards in the mail so probably my friends do too! I have a close friend who is battling breast cancer and I just today sent a real paper card in the mail rather than an email:o)! I always enjoy your posts. Hope you have a great day!

Good morning dear Teresa:-)

Another fun post to read! How wonderful that you met a blogger who reads your blog...imagine being recognized in a restaurant! lol See, you're famous! hehe

I read the story behind Phil and Amy Mickelson and you're right, it's such a beautiful example of what being a family is all about. I was thrilled when he won:-)

My heart goes out to Justin's family. One can't even imagine what it must feel like to face the person who murdered your child...I think they would have to restrain me from doing him bodily harm!!!

I've never had problems with my cholesterol so I have no idea what you could do to help lower yours. Hopefully you will get good suggestions from other bloggers. Good for you for doing so much walking:-)

Congratulations to your latest winner!! You are one of the most generous people I know:-) Love ya. xoxox

JR and I are on a no meat no cheese diet during the week. It was alittle hard at first but we are really liking it now! We eat alot of raw food, salads for dinner, avocado sandwiches for lunch, alot of fresh fruit and veggies, etc...

Ok, we still need to get together next time you are in Dallas!

A few Random Comments...

Thanks for the update on Justin's family. I, too, am normally a very passive, non-controversial person, but child abusers make my blood boil. This guy is a monster, and monsters deserve... well, I'd better get off MY soapbox!

We saw The Last Song, too, and LOVED it. I didn't know anything about it when we went, only that it starred Miley Cyrus, so I was expecting a Hannah Montana-ish film...boy, was I wrong! It truly is the best movie I've seen in a while.

Hope your "mouse" dream comes true and you have a "magical" time!

Teresa, good morning. I loved your random thoughts, just the way a conversation would go if we were having tea. We have such similar tastes, also Crystal and Mike supporters (I actually call and vote) No one is standing out yet on Dancing, but I am watching it. (Kate needs to go). My husband and I have Favre shirts and wear them for every game (even tho they are green!). How exciting to have his grandson named after yours! The only place we don't completely agree is that my 4 grandkids are " "er than yours (just kidding, but mine are really great too). Still hoping that Parker picks my number for one of your card packages, my stash is very low. Enjoy the rest of your week. Cyndi

I took mine down over a summer vacation with diet ( I used the American Heart Association as a guideline) and exercise. I also added Promise active spread instead of other butter substitutes. It contains plant sterol esters that remove cholesterol. Oatmeal, ground flax seed also help. Hubby got his down by taking Red Yeast Rice tablets from the health food store. It is as important to add the good oils as it is to take away the bad oils.

God bless ya and good luck!!!

I need to lower my cholesterol, too, so I'll be checking back to see what tips you get.

Praying for Amy and the rest of her family. I can't imagine their pain.

Blessings to you, Teresa!

Hi Teresa! Thank you so much for stopping by and for the heads up on the gift basket! How sweet of you!
I know exactly what you mean about that photo of the Mickelson's moment in the sun! They have been through a lot together..and probably more to come. It was heartwarming to see that.

I got here and just read and read! The more I read the more interesting it got ...sort of like a good novel you don't want to put down!
It covered so many things I was interested and, both sad and happy. An interesting mix.

Have a wonderful day, and again..thanks so much! :)

Hi Teresa,
You are so funny! There is always something interesting to read about when I stop by for a visit. It's not boring at all more like talking on the phone with a dear friend!
About lowering the cholesterol - good for you on the exercise, now have you tried fish oil? Capsules or the pure oil form, also flax seeds, flax oil, avocados and almonds. All very good for you, easy to find and easy to incorporate into your diet. I use flax seed in anything I bake, just throw a little in the batter. The oil can be used in dressings, but not heated. Head over to a health food store and ask the nutritionist for some advice. They can help you with good information and natural things you can do to help bring those numbers down. Good luck!
Have a fun weekend. Please enter me in the drawing!! Thanks for stopping by earlier.

Thanks for stopping by my party! You have got such an upbeat, cheery blog! I had to laugh, reading this post, because if you hadn't referred to how random it was, I probably wouldn't have noticed. That's how I tend to write. :)

The four AI favorites here are Tim, Michael, Siobhan, and Crystal. Probably close to that order. Crystal would be up higher, but some weeks it's just so hard to understand the words she's singing!

My favorite "voting" show is So You Think You Can Dance - which is where Dancing With the Stars' professional dancer Chelsie Hightower came from. They definitely keep the bar up high on that show!

Have a happy and blessed weekend!
