OK, HERE'S THE DEAL.....I NEED HELP

***** 1:00 PM
I am so excited...Keep the suggestions coming. I have an entire afternoon and evening free, fire roaring, candles burning, lifetime movies tivoed, to look through all the blog sites and read blogs. My husband is out of town on business, the little ones are all at their own homes, staying warm and getting well, so it's a ME day. Now if I can just think of some great food from a place that delivers. Hopefully I will get to drop by and visit you today...

For the past month I have gone from one blog designer to another's website, looked at more blogs that I care to admit and am still no closer to finding the NEW LOOK that I want. MAYBE that's because I do not know exactly what I want. I NEVER dreamed there were so many designers. And on practically every site I LOVE something. I have kept a file of what I like and what I don't. BUT NOW I am ready to FIND SOMETHING THIS WEEKEND. I need your help.....

I need you to help me to find the perfect design. I love the scrapbook designs, I love the simple looks, I love the very unique sites. I love the bells and whistles that I see on other blogs. I want great pictures. I love RED! I love GREAT font, but easy to read and on and on.(confession...I know so little about blogging that you would laugh)
If you are a designer, I would love to hear from you. I will not only pay you, I will do an entire post on your blog design business.
If you are a blogger, send me your ideas.....the biggest problem is that I LOVE TOO MANY THINGS.
SO, I want YOU to submit blog designers that you LOVE. I am not smart enough to use the free ones that I have to put together myself. I even want you to look through their portfolios and send me examples that you think would fit my BLOG. There will be a PRIZE TO THE BLOGGER that helps me the most and submits a site and designer that I USE. I have packages to mail next week and would love to mail you one. I am home all weekend, so send me some suggestions........You know my personality, my message and my blogging style.

And on a side note, my husband had some heart tests this past week.We got a call yesterday that there were some abnormal readings on it. So we need to meet with the doctor on Monday. He had a quadruple bypass 18 years ago and has never had another problem, but we are ALWAYS anxious when he has his check-up. So your prayers would be so appreciated. Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

Have you tried http://www.simplyfabulousbloggertemplates.com/ Lena has lots of really lovely, fun, colorful, etc to choose from (both paid and free).

Praying for your husband!

The Design Girl (Danielle) did my blog, and she is very patient, and careful to fit your blog style to your personality. I am clueless, and she walked me through it. I chose her because she is a lovely, young Christian woman with a heart for giving. She has a waiting list, and could not do it for you this weekend...But, she is worth the wait!

Let me just say that when indecision hit me, she walked me through it step-by-step, and I love my design!

I used designerblogs.com. They are great and work with you until you are completely happy with every element of the design.

Hi I have a very talented granddaughter who designs blogs. Abigail Kraft is her name (Rear Window blog).

She is Lynnette's daughter from (Dancing Barefoot blog). Both gals buttons are on my sidebars.

Abigail's button for her Blog Design business is "32nd Street Blog Boutique"...also on my side bar. I am not sure if you follow them or not.

Abigail has done lots of designs including mine. I am sure she would be happy to chat with you about doing your new look.

I pray that your hubby will be ok and that it won't be a huge issue, but just something they can deal with easily. And of course I pray for God's healing touch.

May His Will Be Done In Each of Our Lives!

Love ya,
Linda @ Truthful Tidbits

I will say a prayer for your husband.

I like to change my backgrounds from time to time but haven't had anyone design for me. (only a button)

prayers for your hubby that everything turns out good. And as far as blog designs go, I am clueless. I can't believe that I have been blogging since 2007 and I have never even looked into it. I just put up a different picture that I take every once in awhile :)

I hope your hubby's heart is still good. I'll keep you guys in my thoughts.

I use free blogger template, and just upload my own photos. No real design inspiration or tricks there. Good luck on your quest for your blog design! =)

I will be in most sincere prayer for you and your husband. My Hubby had a heart attack June 17th of last year. I know how frightening this can be. Please know we are lifting extra prayers for you both!

First of all, you are selling yourself short. You ARE smart enough to set up your blog background! Besides, if I can set up mine, ANYONE can! :0) It truly is very, very simple!

My new background came from Allie Brown's Layouts. Here is her link:
http://alliebrownslayouts.blogspot.com/

She has some very beautiful templates and I believe they are all free. PLUS, she gives you step by step directions AND will give you help via email if you need it. She is very quick to respond. Her directions are truly very simple. All I had to do was pick mine out and then add the code in much the same way I would if I were adding a 'gadget' on my sidebar.

Seriously, go there, look at them, and read the instructions.

Here's the link for the instructions:

If you find one you like and you need any help, email me. I will be glad to help you if I can.

Thanks for visiting me today! I am praying for you and your husband.

Blessings,

Teresa <><

Hi Teresa,

Thanks for your recent visit and kind comments. I wish I could help you out here, but I haven't used a blog designer. I am always amazed at their talents so I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

I will keep your husband in my prayers.

I wish I could help you but my daughter-in-law helps me with mine. I will say though that my opinion is *less is best*. I like a relatively plain page with a white background. I think it looks classy and is easier to read.

I love having pictures across the top of mine. I change them out every few months.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

...and most important: I prayed for your husband.

Ohh.. I Just had my blog makeover... and I LOOOVVVVEE Stephanie from Dirt and Lace designs who did it for me.. she worked very hard on it and did everything exactly the way I wanted it.. there are still a few more things that need to be done, like pictures on the sidebar with the info below it most for the most part it is done.. I would love for you to visit to see if you like the new look... I will be praying that that everything is okay with your husband, I know how scary that must be!!

I always make my own headers and backgrounds but have never made them for anyone else, I'd be too nervous! lol There are some wonderful free sites out there, here are a few you should check out...

http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/home.html

http://jellypages.com/

http://www.delightfuldots.blogspot.com/

I especially love that last one because she has many links to other blogs who make headers/background layouts:-)

Hope you find what you want! xoxo

I hear you on the blog design issue. The one you have now is happy and wonderful.

Come see mine. The designer on it was Redbud Designs...linked in the bottom right sidebar...

She did a wonderful job for me because my blog is really about NOTHING!

Makes you want to visit it doesn't it? NOT!

But together we interpretted a look that I think is pretty unique and encompasses what I'm all about.

Let me know what you think.

And good luck on your quest.
