Friend Makin Monday on WEDNESDAY

I found this on another blog and though I think I am a week behind, and too late to tag on and its not Monday, so I am doing it on the wrong day just as a fun post....I love to know random details about people..it is part of their story and I LOVE peoples stories. So in the comments just pick two or three things we might have in common or just tell me a few things about YOU.

My sweet grandsons have all been sick with bugs and have been in no mood for picture taking...so this will be a RARE post without one of their pictures....
Be sure and stop in at the Christmas Blog....We had lots of winners last night of CHRISTMAS GOODIES....that will be on their way to them soon..There is ANOTHER BIG GIVEAWAY that I will draw for on October 1st, so comment away...ask questions, tell your friends, share the site. I really want the tree blog to be a fun place to learn, share and celebrate The Baby That Changed EVERYTHING!

This is my VERSION of 20 Questions.

1. Do you cook every night? No...as in rarely, as in almost NEVER

2. What kind of laundry detergent do you use & why? Whatever my husband picks up at the store. No favorite.

3. Do you do laundry every day or loads at a time? EVERYDAY....My kids always joked that they used the same towel everyday...I already had it washed and put back on top the next day.

4. How often do you eat out per week? almost everyday ...we either get take out or we eat out....

5. Where do you usually eat out? Outback, Red Lobster, Newks, Copeland's, Chilies...we try and spread the love...

6. What is your favorite retail store? I really enjoy spending an hour or two in Target...and Steinmart is a close second, though I do not shop near as much as I did in years past. There is just so much "Stuff" one needs.

7. What's your favorite thing to drink? Diet Coke and Coffee

8. Do you take vitamins? What kind? Many ...really too many to get up and count....I am a big proponent of fish oil, vit C, vit E, vit D and I take a GREAT liquid B vitamin...and can always tell when I miss a day...plus I take antioxidants and barley green.

9. What percentage of the household chores to you do? That's a good one...My husband has always been a HUGE help and can do anything better than me, but since I am a tad OCD about cleaning, I would say it is about 50-50
During tree season he does most of it, plus I try and and have someone clean every week or so.

10. Do your children do chores? When they lived at home.. ..ABSOLUTLEY...and my daughter-in-law appreciates that I taught my son there was no such thing as "a woman's job"! My daughter is a good housekeeper...We are just pretty much a family that likes things clean and in order.

11. Do you go to church? Yes and in the last few years, we have visited a lot of different churches. We try and end up at one of the churches our kids are at on Sunday.
12. Do you have a housework schedule? No...I dust as I see dust....but no schedule..I never understood people that would say they had to clean house on Saturday. If you do a little everyday you never have to take an entire day for cleaning.

13. Do you keep a working budget? No, but I think we pretty much know what we spend. I totally bank online, so there is never a need to reconcile a bank statement..a job I detested.

14. What do you do at night as a family? watch TV, read, play cards, eat out, go to movies, plan trips. We love nights at home.

15. How do you prepare yourself for a new week? LIST, LIST and more LISTS. I live by lists. Just finished typing one for the rest of the week.

16. What do your mornings look like? I normally do not get up until around 9 or 10...I am a real night owl and since I work at home, I don't have to get up. So really my day rarely starts before noon. I drink coffee, watch Good Morning America and am a huge paper reader. It takes about an hour before I really want to talk to anyone...as in I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON.

17. What time do you get up in the mornings? answered above...

18. What time do you go to bed at night? Usually around 1 or 2 AM....but I have been known to be up and working at 3 AM.

19. How do you manage all of the paperwork that floods into your household? {bills, school work, magazines, ads, etc}..IN STACKS....I have very organized STACKS, but many of them. My to do list for tomorrow has on it "Go through stacks of paper work"!

20. How do you keep your household organized? the older I get the more often I tell myself that it will all get done; maybe not today, but one day this week...In days past, I stressed if the "to do" list was not finished everyday.

That may be more than you wanted to know about me, but I always enjoy reading about how other people live. I love to people watch! I like to see what people have in their grocery carts....So have some fun with this and tell me a little about YOU!

I tried copying and pasting this....had some problems, so I'll just answer a few of these.

I don't cook much any more since the kids are all married. We eat out A LOT. We tend to frequent the same places until we get tired of them and then move on to somewhere else!

I am OCD about laundry in a BIG WAY! We really only need one towel and one pair of underwear!:)

I love me some Target. LOVE IT.

Diet Coke and Coffee are my drinks of choice.

We have a LOT in common. Here is where it gets different: I love the mornings. I get up at 4:45am. My daughter says there is only one 4:45 in her day and it isn't in the a.m.! My life has really changed since my kids got married. I never went to bed before midnight when they lived at home. There was always too much going on. Now I like to be in bed by 9:00pm.

Back to being like YOU...I love a list. I live by it! I have even been known to add something to a list that wasn't there, just so I can mark it off!

Oh, and I love to sit in the food court at Costco so I can see what people have in their carts after they pay!!:) Call me weird!!
This post is so long, surely it enters me 25 extra times for the October 1 drawing!!!:)

I'm quite particular about cleaning too...and my hubby doesn't really have the same idea of clean. His idea of clean is wiping the counter off with a dry towel... ;)

I'm not really a night owl, but an early riser - it drives my hubby crazy! ;)

I so agree about the cleaning everyday to take Saturday off, it is the weekend right! Oh and I also could spend days in target!

Teresa,
It was fun reading little bits about you! I found myself taking notes on the supplements you take. As a huge supplement taker, I'm always open to learn about new ones that might be beneficial.

Have a great day!

I ~LOVE~ hearing about other people's life as well, so thank you for sharing your answers! :) Here are mine:

1. Do you cook every night? NEVER, we hardly ever eat at home...even though it's more expensive it's more convenient! :)

2. What kind of laundry detergent do you use & why? Almost a different kind every time.

3. Do you do laundry every day or loads at a time? Loads at a time.

4. How often do you eat out per week? almost everyday ...we either get take out or we eat out....

5. Where do you usually eat out? Cheddars, Chilis, Mexican restraunts

6. What is your favorite retail store? Target and Wal-Mart, although I usually end up getting aggravated with people in Wal-Mart haha! :)

7. What's your favorite thing to drink? Diet Coke and sweet tea!

8. Do you take vitamins? What kind? One daily vitamin and iron for my anemia

9. What percentage of the household chores to you do? Kevin is also good with helping so I would say 50/50 as well

10. Do your children do chores? Mason is only 8 months old so his chore is getting into things I've already cleaned HAHA! But, when he gets older I think it is very important for you to make your children participate in chores so they can take of things on their own when the time comes.

11. Do you go to church? It has been a long time and I am ashamed to say so. I want Mason to know the importance of going so when he gets older we are going to start taking him and enroll him in Sunday school.

12. Do you have a housework schedule? No, I agree with what you said.

13. Do you keep a working budget? No, but we know our limits

14. What do you do at night as a family? Go out to eat and watch TV and movies together

15. How do you prepare yourself for a new week? I honestly never really do, I just take things day by day.

16. What do your mornings look like? I work half a day for my grandfather who owns his own company so I don't have to wake up early either, and I'm not a morning person at all either! I'm fortunate enough to have my little man sleep in everyday so we don't get up until about 10 am and then I do things around the house and get myself and Mason ready to go to work, he goes with me

17. What time do you get up in the mornings? answered above...

18. What time do you go to bed at night? Usually anywhere between 11- 12:30

19. How do you manage all of the paperwork that floods into your household? Well I tend to pay a bill right away when I receive it, it just bugs me having it sit there and knowing in the back of my mind it needs paid.

20. How do you keep your household organized? I'm a bit OCD myself, so different ways for different things :)

So much good stuff to learn about you! I love to cook but eating out could be pretty fun, especially if you're spreading the love around!

Hope the kiddos are feeling better soon.

Your daughter is right, there is only one 4:30 and it IS NOT in the morning. Guess our family is the only one that doesn't eat out anymore. I do get a pizza once in awhile, and Chinese is picked up on my way home from therapy twice a month. As for the laundry, when I am wearing my last pair of underpants, it's time to wash!

Love this! Okay, I'm gonna try my hand at it:

1. Do you cook every night? No, probably four or five nights a week.

2. What kind of laundry detergent do you use & why? Tide Free is the ONLY detergent that doesn't break my skin out in a red irritating rash.

3. Do you do laundry every day or loads at a time? Two or three loads three days a week.

4. How often do you eat out per week? 2 or 3

5. Where do you usually eat out? Pleasant View Village Diner, Logan's, Cracker Barrel, McDonald's

6. What is your favorite retail store? Target

7. What's your favorite thing to drink? peach tea

8. Do you take vitamins? What kind? no

9. What percentage of the household chores do you do? I used to do 100%, until my husband decided last year that if he helped me out a little (as in AT ALL,) I might reciprocate with...a little more attention to him, shall we say. (It has grudgingly worked. A little. Very little.) I'd say now, I do about 60%.

10. Do your children do chores? They did while they lived at home, but they're both married now. And both of them are in probably 50/50 relationships!

11. Do you go to church? no

12. Do you have a housework schedule? I do the bulk of it on my offdays, but there's no real schedule.

13. Do you keep a working budget? No, but we know our limits.

14. What do you do at night as a family? I work, he sleeps.

15. How do you prepare yourself for a new week? By looking ahead to Friday.

16. What do your mornings look like? I work nights, so my mornings look like bedtime...

17. What time do you get up in the mornings? My wakeup time is usually about 3:00pm.

18. What time do you go to bed at night? Between 7 and 8:00 am.

19. How do you manage all of the paperwork that floods into your household? Sort it as it comes in...trash, shreddables, bills, look at it later. I have a pile about 10 inches thick of look at it later stuff.

20. How do you keep your household organized? What did I say to lead you to believe I'm organized?
